Here you will find the most important contact points for students at the University of Bonn and the Faculty of Law:

The Student Office is responsible for the application, admissionandenrolment of German and international students. It deals with applications for leave of absence, de-registration, data changes, duplicates and the management of social security contributions.

We provide personal and individual advice to law students, students in the accompanying subject of law, students changing location, pupils and all prospective students on all questions relating to studying law.

The Examinations Office is available to students during opening hours and telephone consultation hours for all questions relating to the examination procedure, the organization of examinations and the recognition of study and examination achievements.

The Center for Advanced Studies in Law and Economics (CASTLE) is an interdisciplinary institution at the Faculty of Law and Political Science of the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn. It supervises the Bachelor's degree "Law and Economics”.

The department maintains over 50 cooperation programs with universities abroad. The administration of the programs, including support for students from Bonn going abroad as well as foreign Erasmus or program students at our department, is the responsibility of the International Coordination Office. This is also the point of contact for general questions about studying abroad.

The Bonn exam course for preparation for the compulsory state examination comprises the following five areas: exam revision, written exam course, written and oral mock exams, lecturing groups.

The Law Department is the central library of the Faculty of Law. In addition to providing literature and access to information and communication, other services are also provided here, such as the administration of lockers and lost property management.

The Law Department also offers various training courses on legal research (“Fit for legal term papers”, ‘Fit for legal seminar papers’, Juris & Beck-Online training, etc.).

The BAföG-Officer of the Faculty of Law is responsible for issuing certificates (e.g. according to § 48 BAföG) for the BAföG-Government-Department.

 

The University Computer Centre (HRZ) is a central institution of the University of Bonn. Its task is to operate the university's central IT services for research, teaching and studies. Among other things, it is responsible for the allocation and administration of Uni-ID, e-mails and the wifi network EDUROAM.

On Wednesdays from 14:00 to 16:00, HRZ support is also available at the information desk in the main library of the ULB in Adenauerallee.
